Greetings, gents,
I'm writing to introduce Will Seggos. He is prototyping an AI-driven, common-sense, consensus-based, AI-driven transparency in government initiative, initially involving housing.
He is actively working with officials at the state, county, & city levels—& that includes gaining traction with the folks at Marsac.
I cna’t even try to fully describe the current state of his work, but I will say that it’s not only hip, slick, & cool but strikes me as a practical, affordable option to our current reality.
For example, as I understand it, a worker seeking housing currently is faced with completing innumerable separate applications; landlords must process these separate applications. Will’s work eliminates such wasteful redundancy. And that’s just for starters.
Will’s work relies heavily on AI. He’s local, he’s smart, & I’ve finally persuaded him to preview some of his work with LSDM.
I invite you to ping him with the questions you need answered to get him scheduled.
Will, please correct any inaccuracies or expound on anything that I’ve missed.
Jimmy
Nice to meet you Stephen,
Thanks for the kind words, Jimmy.
I’ll put August 12 at 7am on my calendar to meet with you all. Zoom is likely best.
Check out onedoorhome.org. Our goal is to create the source of truth for affordable housing on the Wasatch Back. Every unit accounted for and easy for those in need to find. For the citizen, it means one reusable application that goes with you through every step of the housing journey. We want to build out every possible solution that we can to keep on top of these programs, with incentives to maximize ROI for taxpayers.
Part of our goal is to leverage the State Endorsed Digital Identity Program offered by the State of Utah as a means to lower the costs of underwriting. There is additional opportunity for the program to help lower overall property tax burdens, improve privacy, and make transparency more efficient.
Looking forward to meeting then.
Will Seggos
