Hi Steve!
Just this afternoon I heard a TV book review on “The Brain Electric” by Malcolm Gay. It deals with the stuff of start-up companies, including Jon’s promotional endeavors today with tiny electric sensors in the brain to control alzheimers, dementia, etc. Primarily the review of the book, with comments by readers that I opened up on Safari, deals with early success on amputees learning to control limb prosthetics unbelievably.
Jon’s father is a successful example with an arm prosthetic after a brush with a propeller when in the air force quite a few years ago. I met him this Spring at a family party and wasn’t aware of his arm at all until he handed me a glass of wine! He then detached the prosthetic at the elbow to show it to me. — Unbelievable! Jon’s mother, Ginger, has published a book about their experiences, called “Disarmed”.
At appropriate times it might be interesting to have Jon’s father visit ROMEO and surprise them with handing out something or just passing a cup of coffee. --or maybe have Ginger talk. They will only be here for a few days around Jon’s visit but will be back again fairly soon.
Ralph=
